10 Overrated Disney Springs Spots + 5 You Should Definitely Skip

Sharing is caring!

Disney Springs has no shortage of restaurants and food stands. But just because a place has a big name or flashy decor doesn’t mean it serves amazing food.

Some spots here are all sizzle and no flavor—or worse, pricey and bland. Here are 10 that don’t quite hit the mark, plus 5 that fall flat entirely.

1. Planet Hollywood

Loud music, neon lights, and celebrity memorabilia create a chaotic vibe better suited to a theme park ride than a restaurant. The menu throws everything at the wall, from over-the-top burgers to overloaded milkshakes, but little truly sticks.

Despite the A-list branding, dishes often arrive cold, soggy, or flavorless. The food doesn’t justify the wait or the wallet pinch.

2. Rainforest Cafe

Animatronic gorillas and thunderstorms offer a fun distraction, but they can’t hide the fact that food takes a backseat. Overcooked pasta, dry burgers, and limp fries leave little reason to return.

Everything feels mass-produced, with flavors as dull as the lighting effects are loud. It’s a classic trap for first-timers.

3. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill

You’d expect sophistication from a place bearing the name of a culinary legend. But this outpost feels watered-down and oddly generic.

The pizzas lack the crisp edge and char of a proper wood-fired oven, and the pasta is forgettable at best. Even the cocktails feel underwhelming.

4. The Edison

Steampunk aesthetics make for a striking atmosphere, but the menu tries too hard to be edgy. Fancy-sounding burgers and cocktails don’t live up to the hype.

Despite the high prices, presentation often falls short, and seasoning is inconsistent. It’s a stylish letdown with great lighting and little else.

5. Terralina Crafted Italian

Rustic décor sets the stage for a comforting Italian meal, but the flavors often come off as flat and uninspired. Pastas swim in sauce without depth, and pizzas arrive undercooked.

It promises handcrafted warmth but delivers grocery-store mediocrity. There are better carb fixes elsewhere at Disney Springs.

6. T-Rex Cafe

Dinosaur animatronics and erupting volcanoes thrill kids, but adults will find little joy on the plate. Think cafeteria-level pasta and chewy chicken at gourmet prices.

Crowds, noise, and underwhelming food create a prehistoric dining experience best left in extinction. Even the drinks taste rushed.

7. Jaleo By José Andrés

This trendy Spanish eatery boasts a vibrant atmosphere, but the tapas are inconsistent in both quality and portion. Some bites burst with flavor, others fall surprisingly flat.

The pricing adds up fast, and service sometimes feels rushed. For a José Andrés spot, it lacks the polish and passion expected.

Latin American flavors should dazzle, but here they feel muted. Tacos lack punch, and queso feels like it came from a can.

The menu promises excitement but settles into mediocrity. The lakeside view might be the best part of the experience.

9. The Polite Pig

It smells incredible walking by, but the meats can be hit-or-miss—sometimes juicy, other times dry as paper towels. The sides are rarely warm, and sauces lack spark.

You’re paying premium prices for fast-casual food that doesn’t always deliver. It’s a decent pit stop, but not destination-worthy.

10. House Of Blues Restaurant & Bar

Live music and Southern flair set the mood, but the food misses the soul. Fried chicken arrives greasy, and cornbread tastes oddly stale.

The menu tries to channel comfort food but feels more like a cover band than the real thing. Energy’s great, but the flavor just isn’t there.

11. Bongos Cuban Cafe (Legacy Mention)

Though it closed, Bongos deserves a shoutout for being a beautiful space with painfully bland food. Even the mojitos couldn’t save the dry rice and mushy plantains.

This flashy Cuban spot had plenty of fans but rarely delivered true flavor. It faded out with more style than substance.

12. City Works Eatery & Pour House

With dozens of beers on tap and a sports-bar vibe, it’s tempting to grab a table. But the food plays second fiddle to the screens.

Dry nachos, rubbery sliders, and over-salted fries make it a weak pick. A solid pint doesn’t cover up a soggy menu.

13. Pizza Ponte

This quick-service pizzeria boasts New York-style slices, but they’re lukewarm, floppy, and oddly flavorless. Sauce is too sweet, and the crust lacks crunch.

It’s easy to grab and go, but not worth going back for. You’re better off holding out for a better slice elsewhere.

14. STK Orlando

This swanky steakhouse feels more like a nightclub than a place to eat. The music blasts, but the steaks underwhelm—overcooked or underseasoned far too often.

Service feels distracted, and sides don’t make up for the pricey disappointment. Skip the scene and find a steak with soul.

15. Chicken Guy!

Celebrity branding aside, it’s fast food with fancier packaging. Chicken tenders vary wildly in quality, and fries taste like they’ve sat too long.

The array of sauces is fun, but even that can’t mask the mediocrity. There are better ways to spend $15 at Disney Springs.
