Winter’s here, which means Dunkin’ season is officially upon us. And you know I had to dive headfirst into their new winter lineup.
So, I braved the cold, endured the sugar rush, and emerged victorious (and slightly buzzed) to give you the ultimate, no-holds-barred review.
Think of me as your personal Dunkin’ guinea pig. Let’s get to it!
1. Lava Cake Signature Latte
The first sip? HEAVEN. Chocolatey, rich, and undeniably delicious. It seriously tasted like a warm, gooey lava cake in a mug. But… and it’s a big but… after a few more sips, the sweetness became almost overwhelming. It was like my taste buds were staging a revolt.
Would I have it again? Maybe. If I’m REALLY craving something intensely chocolatey and need a serious sugar boost to get through a Monday. But definitely not a daily driver.
3.5 out of 5 sprinkles. Delicious, but proceed with caution.
2. Lava Cake Coffee
For those of us who love the lava cake vibe but aren’t quite ready for the full-on latte experience, Dunkin’ offers the Lava Cake Coffee. It’s essentially regular coffee with the same brownie batter flavor swirl.
This drink took me back to those comforting cocoa sips during childhood. Would I order it again? Yes, when I need a chocolatey coffee fix without the extra calories. This is a solid, everyday coffee that feels a little bit special
A practical choice for chocolate lovers who still want their caffeine kick.
3. Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso
Okay, this one was a surprise hit. I’m a sucker for a good shaken espresso, and Dunkin’s take with brown sugar flavor and ice is actually pretty fantastic.
The espresso is strong and bold, perfectly balanced by the sweet, warm brown sugar flavor. Shaking it all up creates this frothy, creamy texture that’s just divine. It’s the perfect afternoon pick-me-up when you need a little boost.
This drink made me feel like I was on a quick escape to a bustling city café. Would I get it again? Certainly, for those moments I need an energizing lift. 4.5 out of 5 espresso shots. Seriously, try this one!
4. Brown Sugar Oat Iced Matcha Latte

Alright, matcha lovers, listen up! I’m usually a bit wary of flavored matcha, but I was pleasantly surprised by this concoction. This blends the earthiness of matcha with the warmth of brown sugar flavor and creamy oat milk..
Drinking this felt like a calming retreat, reminiscent of serene tea gardens. 5 out of 5 delicious treats!
A perfect choice for those leisurely afternoons when you want a gentle energy boost with a touch of elegance.
5. Raspberry Lava Cake Coffee

This was the drink I was most excited about. The promise of chocolate and raspberry felt like the perfect pick-me-up on a dreary winter day. Appearance: Beautiful! The dark coffee base was topped with whipped cream and what looked like chocolate sprinkles.
Unfortunately, the flavor didn’t quite live up to the hype. The raspberry was subtle, almost overpowered by the coffee. The “lava cake” element was primarily in the sweetness, which bordered on cloying after a few sips.
A good option if you have a serious sweet tooth, but I wish the raspberry flavor was more pronounced. I give it a 6/10.
