Instructions

1. Bake the Tater Tots:
Follow the package instructions to bake your tater tots until they’re crispy and golden brown – the crunchier, the better!

2. Cook the Sausage:
While the tots are baking, brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it’s fully cooked and crumbled. Drain the excess grease, but leave about 2 tablespoons in the skillet to keep all that flavor.

3. Make the Gravy:
Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir until it’s all coated. Cook for about 2 minutes to get rid of that raw flour taste.

Slowly whisk in the milk and bring it to a simmer, letting the gravy thicken up nicely over 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Assemble the Breakfast Bowls:
Now comes the fun part! Grab your bowls and add a generous portion of crispy tater tots to each. Ladle the warm, savory sausage gravy over the top.
