Ingredients
- 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 large egg
- Oil for frying (Canola)
- 1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
- 1/2 c. finely ground graham cracker crumbs
Instructions
1. Prep the Dough: Start by cutting each raw biscuit into 4 equal pieces. Take one piece at a time and gently stretch out the edges, leaving the middle a bit thicker. You want each piece to be about 1 ½ to 2 inches wide.
2. Add the Goodies: Brush the edges of the stretched dough with a bit of beaten egg. Place ½ teaspoon of chocolate chips (about 4-5 chips) and 4 mini marshmallows in the center of the dough.
Now, use your fingers to pinch the egg-washed edges together, forming a ball around the filling. Give it another pinch to make sure it’s sealed tight.
Repeat this process with the remaining dough, egg, chocolate chips, and marshmallows. Arrange the prepared balls evenly on a plate or baking sheet.
3. Heat the Oil: While you’re prepping the dough balls, heat ¾ inch of oil in a nonstick cooker over medium heat until it reaches 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, place graham cracker crumbs in a large bowl.
4. Fry the Dough Balls: Working in batches of 5 or 6, carefully add the prepared dough balls to the hot oil. Fry them until they’re golden brown and cooked through, turning them a few times to ensure even browning.
This should take about 2 to 3 minutes per batch. Keep the oil temperature around 325 degrees, but don’t let it go higher than 350 degrees.
5. Coat in Graham Crackers: Using a spider or slotted spoon, remove the fried balls from the oil and immediately toss them in the bowl of graham cracker crumbs to coat the outside. Transfer the coated balls to a plate and repeat with the remaining dough balls.
6. Serve Warm: Enjoy these delightful treats warm for the best experience!
And there you have it – irresistible Fried S’mores Bombs that are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Enjoy these sweet, delicious bites and watch them disappear in no time. Happy frying!
