Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (cooked according to instructions)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup hot boiled water
  • 1 tbsp Beef Better Than Bouillon
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • oil (olive or sesame) for frying
  • 1 lb beef
  • 2 large carrots
  • 2 cup broccoli
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 garlic cloves

Instructions

1. Make the Sauce: Start by bringing some water to a boil, then stir in a spoonful of Better Than Bullion and a dash of brown sugar until everything’s dissolved.

Next, pour in the soy sauce and set the sauce aside for later.

2. Prep the Veggies & Beef: Chop the carrots, broccoli, and onion into bite-sized pieces (about 2 inches). Slice the beef thinly to help it cook quickly.

3. Cook the Veggies: Heat some sesame oil in a hot skillet and cook the beef until it turns golden brown. Once done, remove it from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, toss in the onions and sauté until golden, then take them out. Add a bit more sesame oil and sauté the carrots until they start to soften.

Throw in the broccoli and cook it for about 3 minutes, then press in some garlic for extra flavor.

4. Combine Everything: Add the beef back into the skillet with the veggies, then pour the sauce over it all.

Let it simmer for a couple of minutes so the flavors can meld together.

5. Toss in the Noodles: Now, add your cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until it’s evenly mixed.

6. Serve It Up: Transfer the noodles, veggies, and beef into a large dish, give it one last toss to combine it all well.

Well that was quick, wasn’t it? In just 30 minutes, we have a perfect Beef Lo Mein that you and your family can enjoy. Now get ready to serve it up while it’s still nice and hot and enjoy!
